Cecil Roy Ebersold was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on May 6, 1933 to Ada Agnes Clark
Ebersold and Dollard Silver Ebersold. Cecil passed away on August 2, 2023 in Gallatin, TN
where he resided with his wife of 67 years, Suzanne Mayo Ebersold.
He is survived by his 5 children Mark Ebersold of Huntsville, Alabama, Cyndie Hoyt (Phil) of
Gallatin, TN, Paul Ebersold (Robin) of Franklin, TN, Amanda White (Andy) of Gallatin, TN, and
Melissa Widner (Mark) of Collierville, TN. He had 14 grandchildren: Ryan Ebersold (Courtney),
Clay Ebersold (Sara), Kelsey Shelton (Kendall), Andy Hoyt, Sarah Kidd (Garrett), Melanie
Lamberth (Alex), Tyler Ebersold, Suzanne Ebersold, Jack Ebersold, Drew White (Erin), Ellen
White, Anna Payne (David), Austin Widner, and Alex Widner. He also had 14 great
grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Joan Queller, Texas.
He had a long and successful career in construction first with Warrior Construction in Austin, TX
(1961-63), Kemmons Wilson Construction (1964-1977), and then he began his own company
E & H Construction in 1977 which he ran successfully until his retirement in 1995.
Cecil Ebersold will be remembered as a fun yet silly dad and papa. But also, he will be
remembered as a man who had a generous spirit, a gentle soul, a servant’s heart, and walked
quietly but steadfastly with the Lord Jesus. He will be greatly missed by his family.
A graveside service will be conducted for the immediate family only on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.
at the Crestview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Phil Hoyt officiating. Military honors will also be rendered
as well by the United States Air Force.
