Clyde Albert Martin

Clyde Albert Martin age 95 of Hendersonville formerly of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully on December 9, 2013 at Emeritus of Hendersonville.  Funeral service will be Tuesday December 17th at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Steve Oldham officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Gallatin Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as Pallbearers.

Mr. Martin was born on October 6, 1918 son of William Charles Martin and Jessie Belle Lake Martin.  He served as a Sergeant in the US Army during WWII from 1936 – 1945.  He received the American Defense Service Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Normandy Northern France Congressional medal of Jubilee.

He is survived by his wife Norma Chalkey Martin of Hendersonville, one daughter Judith Heidemann of Gallatin, sister, Margaret Liberator of Nebraska, two grandchildren, Mckenzie Heidemann of Gallatin and Ryan K.
