Darren "DJ" Forbes Jr.

Darren “DJ” Forbes Jr., aged 27, of Castalian Springs, TN passed away on Sunday, February 4th, 2024.  DJ was born in Syracuse, NY to Darren and Kerstin Forbes and grew up in Camillus NY, where he graduated from West Genesee High School in 2015. He was a valued employee of Holloway investments in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and was building a side business as a general contractor.

 To all who knew him, his smile and bright eyes would light up any room. He was always happy, always kind, always helpful and he definitely left his mark on this world. His passion for racing began at age 5 and he grew up racing with the SMQMC until age 15, creating many friendships that lasted his lifetime. He raced TQ midgets and the indoor circuit but his favorite places to race were Brewerton, Fulton and Weedsport Speedways, competing in the Sportsman Division or the 358 Modified Division weekly.  DJ loved to be outdoors whether it be walking the trails, riding the side-by-side, fishing, playing with the dogs, or simply doing yardwork. He will be remembered as a loving Fiancé, Son, Father, Uncle, and Friend to many. He was a man of integrity, honesty, and faith, and he will be deeply missed.

 He is survived by his loving parents, Darren and Kerstin Forbes of Castalian Springs, TN; his fiancé, Bristy Hall, and beautiful baby girl Delaney Louise Forbes, both of Castalian Springs, TN; Sisters Hillary, (Josh) Livingston of Jordan, NY and Haley Forbes of Castalian Springs, TN; and his adored nieces, Emma and Harley Livingston both of Jordan, NY. DJ is also survived by his grandfather Les Potter of Minoa, NY, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 The family will be greeting friends on March 23rd from 10 am to 12 pm at Kegs Canalside, 7 N. Hamilton St, Jordan, NY. A celebration of DJ’s life will follow at 12 Noon.
