Edna E. Reecer

Edna E. Key Reecer, age 84 of Gallatin, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.  A native of Gibson County, she was born to the late James Inman and Nancy Dycus Inman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Adrian Clifford Reecer, and David L. Key; son, David Lynn Key; sisters, Fannie Crocker, Ollie Poole, Lettie Kennedy; brothers, Charlie Inman, and Finnis “Ike” Inman.

Mrs. Reecer was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and volunteered with the Sumner County Food Bank.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Brown and her husband Larry of Hermitage, Dale Key of Hendersonville, Denise Chaffin of Gallatin; brothers, James Inman of Indianapolis, Joe Inman and his wife Jean of Gallatin; grandchildren, Jeff Brown and his wife Lisa of Thompson’s Station, Kim Brown of Nashville, Stephanie R. Keith of Boulder, CO; 5 Great-Grandchildren; step-children, Ronald Wayne Reecer of Arizona, Kathy Webb of Clarksville; and 6 Step-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 7, at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Dr. James Gill and Rev. Dan Ruffin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Crestview Memorial Park.  Visitation will begin on Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and will resume on Monday at 9:00 A.M. until service time.

Memorial donations are suggested to the family for funeral expenses.
