Edward Franklin Heathman age 82 of Hendersonville, passed away March 22, 2014 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 13, 1932 to the late James and Lillian (Russell) Heathman in Ashland City, TN. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Jean Quam and Maude Ann Phillips. He was married to Rhonda Carney Heathman on December 30, 2004, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Gordon Franklin Heathman of Gallatin, and Russell Lee Heathman of Nashville, brother, James Heathman of Jamestown, KY, grandson Peyton Franklin (Ashley) Heathman and great grandson Cameron Franklin Heathman. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was retired from Metro General Hospital with 37 years in administration. He loved bee keeping and voulnteered teaching this trade to area high schools, he was Assistant Scout Master with troop 83 in Nashville and was a Christian. Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted on March 28th at 12:00 noon from Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Online condolences may be submitted at andersonfh@comcast.net.
