Freda Escue

Freda Mayfield Escue, age 77, of Westmoreland, passed away on Monday, October 10th at Hendersonville Medical Center.  Funeral Services for Freda Mayfield Escue will be conducted on Friday at 12 noon from the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel here in Gallatin with James Bowlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt Vernon Cemetery in Bethpage.  Anthony Escue, Lee Robinson, Jackson James, Grayson Escue, Peyton Belcher, Camden West served as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and resume on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 12:00 p.m.Freda Mayfield Escue was born on April 2, 1939, one of twenty-one children born to the late Everette and Lula Maynard Mayfield.  Only one sister survives her.  She married the late Willie Lee Escue in 1958 who preceded her in death in 1985.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild and nineteen of her brothers and sisters.  She only worked outside the home for three to four years and the rest of her adult life was spent being a homemaker.  She attended the Book of Acts Church in Gallatin.She is survived by children, Kenneth and wife, Brenda Escue, Ronald and wife, Renee Escue, all of Westmoreland, Richard and wife, Ann Escue of Millersville, Danny and wife, Joan Escue of Bethpage, Thelma Escue and Companion, Raymond Sanders of the Westside Community, Chris Esue of Lafayette, Willie and wife, Tammy of Castalian Springs, sister, Margaret and husband, Jackie Kemp of Lenoir City, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
