Gary Hart

August 11, 1956 — January 20, 2025

Bethpage, Tennessee

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Hart, who departed this world on January 20, 2025, at the age of 68. Above anyone, or anything, was his love and devotion to his creator, God, the Father. Born on August 11, 1956, in Florala, Alabama, Gary dedicated his life to service and his family. He made his home in Bethpage, Tennessee, where he created lasting memories with his loved ones.

Gary was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Marines Corps. His commitment to duty and country was a testament to his character, and he carried that spirit into his career as an automotive technician. Gary applied his skills and passion in the automotive industry, impacting both customers and colleagues with his expertise and warm demeanor.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Hart, and his cherished children: sons Stephen Perkins (Stephanie), Robert Perkins, and Jonathan Perkins, and daughter Victoria Ray (Timothy). Gary also leaves behind the immense joy of his grandchildren: Logan Perkins, Emily Perkins, Wesley Perkins, Chloe Ray, Zoe Ray, Tyler Ray, and Skyler Ray, who will always remember their grandfather's playful spirit and loving guidance. In addition, he is survived by his mother, Mildred Hart, brothers Charles Richard Hart and Martyn Hart (Marsha), and sisters Rhonda Mosley and Melissa Childers (Todd), all of whom will carry forward his legacy of love and strength, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Gary's life will take place at Anderson Funeral Home, where family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on January 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. His final resting place will be in the Alabama National Cemetery where he will be interred on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 12:30 PM.

Gary’s vibrant spirit, remarkable kindness, and dedication to his family and community will forever remain in our hearts. In teaching us the value of life, love, and laughter, he leaves behind a brilliant legacy that we will cherish and celebrate in the years to come.
