Gary Horn, born on February 7, 1950, in California, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, in Gallatin, Tennessee. He was a man whose warmth and passion touched the lives of many, cultivating connections with everyone he encountered. Gary's lively spirit and love for music made him a cherished figure in both his personal and professional circles.
Throughout much of his career, Gary dedicated himself to automotive sales, most recently at Cunningham Motors in Springfield. However, his first love remained music, a passion that led him to the vibrant Nashville area, where he could immerse himself in the sounds and rhythms he adored. Gary was particularly fond of the music of the Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Ricky Nelson, and Elvis, and he took great joy in sharing this enthusiasm with those around him, always eager to impart his musical knowledge.
Education played a significant role in shaping Gary's life, as he attended both Excelsior High School and Norwalk High School in Norwalk, California. His personality was as vibrant as his musical tastes; he never met a stranger and possessed a remarkable ability to engage in conversation with anyone. Gary's eagerness to connect with others created countless friendships throughout his journey.
Family and friends were held in the highest regard by Gary, who considered them his proudest accomplishments. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Horn; his son, Bryan Horn; and his brother, John Horn. Gary was predeceased by his father, Frank Horn Sr.; his mother, Ruth Horn; and his brother, Frank Horn Jr.
