Harold Covington age 85 of Cross Plains, TN passed away November 5, 2014 at his residence. Graveside service will be Friday November 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cross Plains UMC Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrel Lane, George Montgomery, Jimmy Stark, Ken Crocker, Jeff Yates, Ron Agee, Mike Lilly, John Smith and Aaron Covington.  Visitation will be private. Harold was born in Cross Plains, son of John Aaron and Bonnie Simpson Covington and continued to reside in Cross Plains his entire Life. He was a member of the Operating Engineers, Local 369 in Nashville, TN and worked in the Construction and Pipeline Industry and was a Farmer.  His hobby was riding Tennessee Walking Horses and he was a member of the Cross Plains United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Beatrice “Bea” Covington and son Clay Covington.  He is survived by one son Dale Covington and wife Tammy, of Cross Plains, daughter Tanya Radic and husband  Dr. Zelkio Radic of Nashville, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Davis of Oregon, Lewis Head and wife Mary Lee of Portland, and Aaron Covington of Cross Plains, and 4 great grandchildren.
