Harrison Likens

Harrison Likens age 70 of Gallatin passed away Wednesday October 21, 2015 at his residence.  He worked in construction laying pipe, and at Murray Tool & Die in Gallatin. He loved to joke and cut-up, tell stories, (most of them he made up,) gardening and being outdoors.

Mr. Likens was born in Gamaliel, KY son of the late Willie and Lucy Neely Likens.  In additions to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers, Louis, Rodger, Curley, Latt and his twin brother Albert Likens and step-daughter Kathy Downs.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristy Likens of Bethpage and Amanda Whitaker of Gallatin, companion of 23 years Margaret Hall, her daughter, Kim Liggett of Gallatin, three grandchildren, Shantel Sams of Westmoreland, Justin Leggett and wife Marianna of Bethpage and Nikki Simpson and husband Andy of Lafayette, eight  great grandchildren, Blane, Kyler, Destiny, Raylen, Brennon, Analyssa, AJ and Caleb, three sisters, Bonnie Jaegers of Louisville, KY, Estline Crowe of Arthur, IL, Mary Ann Hardin of Mount Hermon, KY, three brothers, Sonny Likens and wife Sue of Louisville, KY, Johnnie Likens and wife Rita of Gamaliel, KY and Morris Likens of Shepherdsville, KY.

  Funeral service will be Sunday October 25^th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Brian K. Likens officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday and continue until time of service.  Interment will follow in Gallatin Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as Pallbearers.
