Irene Berry

Irene Brister Berry passed away on January 22, 2026 at the age of 92. She was born on February 1, 1933, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Irene lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and dedication.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents Arthur & Hassie Brister, her husband, Donald Berry, and siblings Bertie Louise Brister, Lena Gable, Dorothy Claridy, Myrtle Ezell, Charles Homer Brister, Katherine Gregory; and aunt Hazel Hutcherson.

Irene is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Grainger (Christopher) as well as her devoted brother, Arthur "Buddy" Brister Jr. (Brenda); and numerous nieces and nephews. Together, they hold dear the memories of Irene's warmth, wisdom, and undeniable spirit.

As a skilled machinist, Irene contributed her talents to the factory industry, embodying a strong work ethic that reflected her unwavering commitment to her craft and community. Despite her extensive responsibilities, Irene found joy in the simplest of moments, cherishing time spent with her family and friends.

Visitation with the family will be held at Anderson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29, 2026 starting at 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

In these moments of grief, the family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. Irene Berry will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but also for the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
