James Rick Buchanan

James Rickey Buchanan age 59 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his residence.  A Memorial service with full Military Honors will be conducted on Thursday, December 12th, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Jarvis officiating.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until time of service.  Rick was born on May 15, 1954 in Lancaster, PA. He retired from the US Army after 22 years of service, and worked at DCI, Inc. in Hendersonville as a computer technician.  He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Dorris Draper; parents, Avery and Madge Peterson Buchanan; brothers, Larry Buchanan, Randy Buchanan, Barry Buchanan.  Rick is survived by his wife Suzan Draper Buchanan; children, Bryan Buchanan and wife Amy of Westmoreland, Brittani Edwards and husband Nick of Gallatin; three grandchildren, Ashlyn and James Buchanan, and Annabelle Edward;, mother-in-law, Carolyn Draper; sister-in-law, Susie Draper both of Gallatin;, sisters, Teresa and Patty Buchanan, both of Green Mountain, NC.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to American Cancer Society, 200 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN  37203, or Safe Place for Animals, 1070 Old Highway 109 North Gallatin, TN 37066.
