Joe Allen Daughtry, age 77 of Gallatin, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. A native of Sumner County, he was born to the late Arthur and Ruby (Smith) Daughtry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Daughtry.
Mr. Daughtry was of the Baptist faith and served our country honorably in the United States Army. He spent most of his life working in grocery sales, and was a proud Democrat.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Anglea) Daughtry of Gallatin; children, Allen McIntosh (Michelle) of Christiana, Kim Artavia (Gus) of Hermitage, Joey Daughtry (Jennifer) of Gallatin, Lisa Tomlinson of Gallatin; siblings, Charles Daughtry (Angela) of Gallatin, Gail Garrott (Sonny) of Gallatin, Marie Jenkins (Don) of Oak Grove, Louise Grosser of Gallatin; sister-in-law, Lynn Daughtry; grandchildren, Brian Driver of Gallatin, Joseph Daughtry of Gallatin, Catherine Alexandria “Kaydy” Wellendorf of Gallatin, Meagan Bianco of Murfreesboro, Ronald Kenny of Murfreesboro, Laura Pettyjohn of Hermitage, Maria Emanuelson of Goodlettsville, Ashley Novalis of Lancaster, PA; great-grandchildren, Bryson Driver of Gallatin, Daxton Wellendorf of Gallatin, Ethan Toombs of Murfreesboro, Riley Morgan of Spring Hill, Gunnar Kenny of Murfreesboro, Alaura Kenny of Murfreesboro, Maddelynn Bianco of Murfreesboro, Sophia Pettyjohn and Raegan Pettyjohn both of Hermitage; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Crestview Memory Gardens with Bro. Wesley Woods officiating. Serving as active pallbearers will be Joey Daughtry, Allen McIntosh, Terry Jenkins, Ty Garrott, Bryson Driver, and Michael Anglea. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Greer, and Thomas Michael Anglea.
