Kristine Lynn Campbell, 77, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026, following a long and courageous struggle with illness. Born on April 23, 1949, Kristine was raised by her loving parents, Roman and Mary Lou Fink. Throughout her life, she created a warm, vibrant world around her, filling it with love, laughter, and the simple joys that make life meaningful.
On February 14, 1995, Kristine married the love of her life, Steven Campbell, beginning a beautiful chapter of love, companionship, and devotion. Together, they built a life rooted in love and family. Kristine was also a dedicated professional, serving AT&T for 27 years before retiring.
Kristine found happiness in the things she loved most. An avid reader, talented crafter, and gifted gardener, she delighted in creating things with her hands and nurturing big, beautiful plants. Her love for animals was just as strong, and her home was rarely without a devoted dog or two nearby. A longtime resident of Gallatin, Kristine cared deeply about her community and always looked for meaningful ways to make life better for those around her. Whether tending her plants, enjoying a good book, caring for her pets, or spending time with loved ones, she brought her own special warmth and spirit to the world.
Above all else, Kristine's greatest joy was her family. Her love for them was at the heart of her life, and her family was her most treasured legacy.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Steve Campbell; her sister, Conee Janzer; her four children, Scott W. Leischner (Kathy), Cheryl L. Wilkinson, Jennifer Hotaling (David), and Kelly Cooper; and her stepdaughter, Jennifer Gliniany.
Her love lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Sklyer Wilkinson, Allysha Dunbaugh, Joseph Davis, Jonathan Davis, Jayden Davis, Jesse W. Davis (Mikayla), Destiny Cooper, Amy Cooper, Rylie Cooper, McKenly Cooper, Marley Cooper, and Isaiah Cooper. She is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Evey, Ava, Ronan, and Emma Dunbaugh; Quillin Davis; Allison Ring; and Landyn, Kyler, Neavah, and Maliha Wilkinson.
Kristine was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Mary Lou Fink; her brother, Eddie Walter; and her beloved grandchildren, Steve Leischner and Amber Wilkinson. Though they are no longer here to share in her life, their memories remain forever woven into the story of the family she loved so dearly.
Now, it is time to celebrate a life exceptionally well-lived and a woman whose love touched so many. The family warmly invites friends, neighbors, and all those whose lives were touched by Kristine to gather in her memory, share stories, and celebrate the moments that made her so special.
A casual Celebration of life will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00pm on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home (202 East Main Street, Gallatin). Everyone is invited to come as you can to share memories, laughter, love, and perhaps a story or two, and light refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations in Kristine's honor to the Tennessee First Responders Foundation. In keeping with her deep love for people and animals, contributions may also be made to local Animal Shelters and rescues like Safe Place for Animals in Gallatin.
Kristine's life was measured not simply in years, but in the love, she gave, the family she cherished, and the many lives she touched along the way. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her story lives on in the family she adored, the lives she brightened, and the countless small moments that will forever bring her to mind.
