Richard F. Burgess, Jr. age 68 of Hartsville passed away Tuesday June 3, 2014.  Funeral service will be Friday June 6^th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Ernest Fentress officiating.  Burial will follow in the Burgess Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as Pallbearers.  Visitation will be Thursday June 5^th 2:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday 10:00 AM until time of service.  Richard was born in Davidson County, TN on March 10, 1946 son of the late Richard F. , Sr. and Nettie Burgess.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Jerry Burgess.  He is survived by his wife Janice Murphy Burgess of Hartsville, children, Bradley “Brad” Burgess (Victoria Ann) of Dixon Springs, TN, Towanda M. Burgess of Hartsville, Cateena N. Burgess of Hartsville, Richard F. Burgess III (Jan Marie) of Hartsville and Jessica R. Gilbert (Chad) of Columbia, KY., brothers,  Charles Burgess (Sonja) of Bethpage, Ronnie Burgess of Hendersonville, Harold Burgess of Murfreesboro, sisters, Shirley Gray of Nashville, Betty Moss (Morris Bell) Red Boiling Springs, Judy Fields (Steve) of Hendersonville and Sylvia Burgett of Lafayette, five grandchildren, Britany Durham, Jeremy A. Burgess, Jacob R. Thaxton, Katlin Burgess and Autumn R.
