Ruthie Thompson, age 67 of Gallatin, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Ruthie loved traveling and boating with her husband. She enjoyed lunch dates with her friends and family. Ruthie never met a stranger and loved bragging about her kids, grandkids, and her beloved great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Helen (Brooks) Reedy; and five brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Randy Thompson of Gallatin; children, John Powell and his wife Candace of Bluffton, S.C., Leslie Powell Schell and husband Brandon of Hendersonville, Rachel Powell Souliere and husband Josh of Gallatin; grandchildren, Brooklyn Barrs and her husband Mitchell, Bailey Powell, Caleigh Powell, Baker Schell, Cooper Schell, River Schell, Mackenzie Schell, Carter Souliere, Maddox Souliere, Kyson Souliere; greatgrandchild, Paisley Barrs; one brother, and six sisters.
A come and go celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Ocana Community Center, 2265 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075.
