William "Bill" E. Ewing

William “Bill” Edwin Ewing was born in Russellville, Kentucky on September 6, 1940, passed away in Nashville, Tennessee on June 5, 2023 at the age of 82 years old.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Hays Ewing; children, Cheryl Ewing Sartain, Paul Lebus Ewing (Blanca), Phillip Edwin Ewing (Betty), Shelia Rae Reed (Jimmy), Angel Ewing Sneed (Jay), Preston Eric Ewing, Lance Alan Ewing, and Melanie Faye Ewing; 31 Grandchildren; 28 Great-Grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Crosby-Pickett.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lebus Joe Ewing and Eunice Wiley Ewing; his previous wife and mother of Cheryl, Paul, Phillip, Shelia, Angel, and Preston, Georgia Blocker Ewing; sister, Robbie Dunlap; brothers, Joel Ewing, Kenneth Ewing, William Earl Ewing, Wallace Jones, Lance Ewing; and grandson, William Curtis Ewing.

Bill was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served in many callings from Boy Scout Leader to Bishop, but his favorite was serving as a worker in the Atlanta and Nashville Temples. Bill was a business man, he retired as a Regional Property Insurance Re-Inspector for CNA.  He was very active in church and served many. He served in the United States Air Force, loving God, Family, and Country and will be missed by all.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Madison with Bishop Jonathan Biddle presiding.  Interment will follow in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with honors.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 107 Twin Hills Drive, Madison, Tennessee 37115.
