William "Bill" Clifford Long, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on November 11, 1930, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, William dedicated his life to serving others in both his family and profession.

Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His commitment to service continued as he touched the lives of many as an optician, sharing his expertise with patients at Walmart, where he was known for his gentle demeanor and unwavering dedication.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Robert Long; mother, Tommi Tidwell; sons, Ronald Long, Stephen Long, and Scott Long; daughter, Jada Long; brother, Edward Long; grandfather, William Long; grandmother, Birdy Long.

Bill is survived by his loving son, Clifford "Eddie" Long, and a close-knit family that includes granddaughters Loretta Torres (Josh), Meghan Long, and Valerie Kerley (Shannon), and great-grandchildren Melanie Strickland, Shelby Long, and Emma Long. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and love that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
