Sarah Ann Nealon Vincent, born May 22, 1934 in Henry County Tennessee, and passed away on October 27, 2020 at her residence in Gallatin.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in Relief Society, the Young Women’s Organization and Primary organizations, and was a Nashville, Tennessee LDS temple worker. A wonderful example of selfless service to others.
She was also a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Tennessee Library Association, and The Tennessee Association of School Librarians.
Preceded in death by her husband, James H. Vincent Jr; parents, Daniel Fisher Nealon and Ann Douglas Swinney Nealon; sister, Virginia Nealon Butler; brother, Daniel Fisher Nealon Jr.
She is survived by her five children, Genie Vincent Tinsley, Douglas Nealon Vincent, Stuart Fisher Vincent and his wife (Deborah), Alice Vincent Looney, Christopher Averitt Vincent and his wife Wendy; she has nine grandchildren, Sarah Tinsley Ross and her husband Jason, Rebecca Tinsley, Harrison Tinsley, Kurt Vincent, Aaron Vincent and his wife Karli, Bradley Vincent, Heath Vincent, Maize Vincent, and Ryan Vincent. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, Noah, Carson, Elizabeth, and Emily Ross, Archer Vincent, and Alexandra Tinsley.
Her Goodness and sweet spirit leaves a big hole in our hearts, and community. Her faith makes her passing easier for us to bear.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gallatin. Due to the current pandemic with Covid 19, those who attend visitation are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing while at the funeral home. A private funeral service for the family only will follow the visitation at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop Gerlie Rickard officiating. Interment will follow in the Sumner Memorial Gardens with Harrison Tinsley, Kurt Vincent, Aaron Vincent, Bradley Vincent, Heath Vincent, Ryan Vincent, Noah Ross, and Carson Ross serving as pallbearers.
